The NMFC code is a designation that is used to group commodities. It enables transport companies to evaluate goods for shipment by classifying items based on considerations such as truck fit, loading issues, handling issues and perishability.

Our built-in density calculator is a good tool for determining the NMFC number, but to get the exact number. Please email your Account Manager.

When you start shipping with us we research and save the exact NMFC where they will appear under your “products” section.

Once saved the NMFC’s will pre-populate into the loads for you.
