What do I need to ship hazardous materials by freight?

We are happy to ship hazardous goods for you via truckload, rail, or less-than-truckload (LTL).

To ship your hazardous goods, we are going to need the following:

The exact item and how it’s packaged, for example, 3 pallets of Lithium Ion Batteries

1. UN or NA number
2. Hazmat class
3. Subsidiary Hazmat Class (if applicable) 
4. Packaging Group
5. Emergency Contact Number
6. Emergency Contact Name
7. Contract Number
8. A Copy of the Safety Data Sheet

Please note that in most cases, all the information can be found on the SDS sheet, so feel free to send that to us. We will gather all the information and record it in the order. 

Before we dispatch the order, we will send BOLS and labels and kindly ask you to confirm receipt of them. Then, please give the driver a copy of the BOLS and place the labels on your pallet. The load can be safely transported to your final destination, with the appropriate placards placed on the trailer when necessary.

When you book a hazmat load with us, you can be assured that the carrier we assign to your load will be hazmat certified, and we have all the necessary documents on file.
